The Anglian Arts Project exhibition is all set up in this delightful little church hall at St Mary’s Little Bentley near Colchester in Essex.
The exhibition starts today, Thursday and runs until Sunday 19 May open daily 10.30am - 4.30pm
Pop along if you can, there’s some lovely work on display…

Sometimes one night away is all you need to feel like you have had a proper little escape.
I’ve just spent a lovely weekend at The Pig in the Cotswolds, arriving early at 10am just in time for breakfast and making the most of every minute, until heading back home this afternoon.

My little Cotswold itiniery for anyone thinking of doing similar:
Sat arrived 10am making it just in time for a lovely breakfast
11.30am spent an hour in the Field House Spa - steam room, sauna, outside hydrotherapy pool
12.45 A lovely surprise with an early check in, followed by drinks and time exploring the lovely interiors and gardens.
3pm a trip into Cirencester to browse the Autumn market
5pm back to room, enjoyed a bath and watched a film with cocktails before a later dinner booking at 8.45pm

Sunday
8am used one of the hotel’s published recommended local walks - did just the 2.5 mile village walk
9.30 breakfast
Then after checking out headed for a 10 minute drive to Bibury to see the picturesque local village with its fairytale cottages
As I have always wanted to visit Burford Garden Company we did a small detour before then heading home.
Originally had planned for Sunday lunch at The Village Pub to finish off our stay but had eaten far too much!!
A little hotel tip:
Many lovely hotels have a two night minimum stay at weekends, but it’s worth checking regularly as I did because occasionally a single Saturday night becomes available meaning you can enjoy somewhere special without the commitment of two nights.
By arriving early and leaving later you can make a one night stay feel like a proper relaxing weekend away.

For four months, people across Indonesia have been breathing in toxic haze from forest and land fires. Now, in mid-October, the crisis is still far from over.

As of October 14, simulations by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) indicate that smoke could spread across 294 cities and regencies in 28 provinces. In some areas, air pollution levels have already reached hazardous levels.

The health toll is alarming. Indonesia’s Ministry of Health has recorded 283,270 cases of acute respiratory infections (ARI) across seven affected provinces, including 63,711 cases among children under five.

Fires are now burning across Indonesia. Yet instead of taking decisive, coordinated action, President Prabowo and government officials claim the crisis is under control and have rejected international assistance.

🌏 DEAR WORLD, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Call on the Indonesian government to put out the fires immediately, protect affected communities, and hold the corporations responsible accountable.

STOP THE FIRES. SAVE LIVES. LET INDONESIA BREATHE AGAIN.
