Check out the “Palestinian Artists in 🇵🇸 ” playlist created by Palestinian a American artist @anees on Spotify (the irony of Spotify supporting I group is not lost on me- check out the list then find the tracks elsewhere). Also support Palestinian artist like @anees himself, @nemahsis who’s current single was self funded after her record company dropped her, @saintlevant. Not forgetting @macklemore - not Palestinian but donating all profits of Hinds Hall to UNWRA

2 years agoAttend protest marches and actions whenever you can. Regardless of what the media tries to portray them as they are SAFE and INCLUSIVE. There is a National March every month in London which has a Family bloc, an LGBTQ+ bloc, and 7, yes SEVEN Jewish blocs. Follow @palestinesolidarityuk or @stwuk for more. If you can’t physically attend a protest yourself, please consider supporting someone else who can, either with train fare, offering childcare etc.
2 years agoIf you are only learning of these things now, welcome. There is work to be done, beyond sharing an image. The simplest action you can take is to join the BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement. Your money talks louder than any placard. Follow @bdsnationalcommittee for more info. Use the @nothanks_app or @boycatapp to check the barcodes of your weekly shop and commit to refusing to line the pockets of corporations profiteering from the lives and land of Palestine. Have a look at the link in my bio for the list of boycotted companies and celebrities I have been compiling for a while now. Join the #blockout2024 movement and BLOCK the celebrities and businesses that have declared their unwavering support of Israel. Even if you do not follow said celebrities by blocking them (three dots in top right corner) you limit their reach and therefore their potential advertising revenue. It might seem like a pointless task but it has the whole of the digital marketing world in a total twist so it is definitely working! Follow accounts like @zionistsinfilm @zionistsinmusic @_blockout_2024 for more. From this day forth make a commitment to refuse celebrity culture that does not align with your own moral compass. Warning, this can get quite shocking as you begin to realise many of your faves are Zionists and Zionist sympathisers (there is also a whole host of z list no marks you will have never heard of but are hoping the Zionists might give them their first big break)
2 years agoDo they also know that a 7 month old, Faiz Abu Ataya, died yesterday, his body nothing more than a skeleton, as malnourished as his tiny body could withstand? Do they know of 12yo Sidra Hassouna who’s half severed remains were found hanging on a wall? Do they know of the child they pulled from a tree at the weekend after his entire family was killed in the strike that had propelled him to such heights. Do they know of the child that was seen running into a burning tent to help his disabled Mother, who were later found “hugging and charred”? Do they know of 9yo Omar Hamad who watched as his Father, his “companion in life” burnt to death, the attending medics not allowing him to stay for his final moments for fear of what trauma they would further impress on him? And do they know of the “child: unknown” who’s decapitated body was held up in Rafah for us all to see the real beheaded babies of this conflict, not the first one I have personally witnessed. Do they know of the Mother who had 580 injections to have her Son only for him to be taken from her before his second birthday, “forgive me my love if I had shortcomings towards you even for an hour” she whispered in his ear. Do they know of the Mother who came back to her burning tent in Rafah on Sunday to find she could pick up the ash remains of all six of her children in the palms of her hands? Do they know of 3yo Reem “Soul of my Soul” who’s gentle Grandfather @khaledmnabhann is now volunteering in all the remaining hospital wards? Are they now joining us to bear witness the countless images of children too traumatised to talk, children unbearably shaking with fear, children wishing to die so they can stay with their parents or siblings, children who have already lived through several conflicts before this one, children who’s trauma is so concurrent that there is not yet a “post” in their PTS, children who now have their own unique acronym WCNSF (Wounded Child No Surviving Family).
2 years agoDoes the world know that the IOF conducted 60 airstrikes in the 48 hours proceeding the ICJ instruction to cease all actions in Rafah? Do they understand that less than 24 hours after Bibi Mileikowsky (Do you know Netanyahu changed his name?) declared the Rafah attack was a “tragic mistake” and specifically denied it was in Al Mawasi the IOF struck again, in Al Mawasi? Does the world know they did it again yesterday? Does the world know that simultaneously to bombing the shit out of tents in Gaza the IOF started a devastating fire in the Occupied West Bank, in the main food market of Ramallah? Do they know that these are just a few examples of “mistakes” in a long list that are being “investigated” by the perpetrators themselves? That the IOF “mistakenly” killed three of their own hostages waving white flags & shouting foe help in Hebrew, admits “grave mistake” after killing 6yo Hind, and coincidently her medical rescue team, after she called for help from the car where she was surrounded by her entire slaughtered family, admits “serious mistake” after killing 7 World Central Kitchen aid workers in not one but three consecutive airstrikes, released a photo of the Egyptian Sportscaster Mohamed Shabana on a poster of wanted Hamas Commanders “by mistake, and regularly mistakingly kill their own soldiers in what they call “friendly fire incidents” Do they know that the generally stated death toll of 35,000 hasn’t changed in months because it is now almost impossible to keep a track of the dead given nearly every hospital has been put out of action. Human Rights Monitor Euromed currently puts it at 43,000, including 16,000 children, 400 medical staff, 196 Aid Workers & 141 Journalists- all at a rate never seen before in any other conflict in our lifetime.
