🚨Mario Alberto Morales, an ICE officer, has been indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after striking Miguel Parra-Hernandez with an SUV on October 10 in Houston. Prosecutors allege the strike was intentional. As of October 30, Miguel remains in federal custody at a rehabilitation facility, recovering from a broken leg. Meanwhile, reporting on Morales’s prior discipline for falsifying prison security-round records raises serious questions about ICE’s hiring and screening practices. An indictment is not a conviction. It is a step toward accountability and it has not meant freedom for Miguel. Our community deserves transparency, answers, and justice.
