Hate to break it to you, but flat tummy teas, detox teas, juice cleanses, and other methods claiming to amp up your metabolism and flush toxins are doing nothing beyond dehydrating you and possibly causing malnourishment.

Most contain herbs and chemicals with laxative and diuretic properties, so you’re accelerating the rate at which food travels through your GI tract.

This means you’re not fully absorbing nutrients and water from your food, which isn’t a good thing. So while you might feel like you’re slimming down or reducing bloating, it’s because you’re forcing food and fluids from your body too quickly, not because you’re actually improving your health.

Remember: these products are dietary supplements - which means they also aren’t regulated for safety and quality. There are potential risks with these practices.

Please be wary!

🙌🔥👏 I just gave a workshop on nutrition BS at my gym - this was one them. Funnily a group fitness instructor who is also an anti-vaxxer, MLM supplement and detox slinger came…At the end she commented on how great the session was and how I know my stuff. She then said aloud, “she does science!” Yes, yes I do science unlike her who is the anti-science pseudoscience pusher.
