Looking for an English-speaking hairstylist in Taipei? After 2.5 years here, trying 4+ stylists and spending hundreds of dollars 😭, I finally found a blonde highlight specialist! @alchemic_coiffeur gave me the EXACT style I asked for 🙌🏻 PS: This isn’t sponsored. I’m just sharing my experience to hopefully help someone else looking for this service ❤️ Here’s what I learned from all my trial & error that I think is important to know if you’re coming to Taipei for balayage or blonde highlights. 1. The lightener matters. Some Asian-brand lighteners are formulated with coarser Asian hair textures in mind, so it’s worth asking what products your stylist uses, especially if your hair is already compromised from frequent bleaching. 2. Ask about toner vs. color. In my experience, some salons used demi-permanent color on my non-bleached hair to better match the tone of my highlights, rather than the toner-only approach I was used to. This always left my hair much darker than I wanted and took longer to fade back to the lighter look I was after. 3. Highlighting techniques can be very different. Even when I explained that I wanted a root touch-up, stylists would bleach & color my entire head instead of just my new growth. After 5 years of being blonde, I was used to my US stylist applying bleach only to my roots and avoiding previously lightened hair. The difference in technique contributed to A LOT of breakage for me, and I experienced this repeatedly until now. 4. Highlights can cost as much as in the US. I’ve seen quotes as high as NT$14,000 (about US$430), sometimes without a haircut. One thing you’ll save on is tipping, since it isn’t customary in Taiwan. I think if you have strong, healthy, thick hair and want gray blending or balayage, a local Taipei stylist may work great for you. But if you’re used to Western highlighting techniques and your hair is already compromised, do your research before booking because the wrong approach can cause serious breakage. Trust me, I learned that the hard way 😭 PS I can’t speak for every stylist. This is just my personal experience.❤️ (Reel inspired by @happy_baes ) #taipeibalayage
MITOS / FAKTA? akankah semua akan 150 cc up pada waktunya?🥶 berdasarkan pengamatan gw dijalan sih gitu ya... kalo di daerah kalian gimana guys?
It was hot dogs for dinner last night but… with a little Mexican sass🌶️! Serves 2 Recipe⬇️ * 4 whole beef hot dogs * 2 jalapeño’s deseeded sliced in strips * 4 turkey bacon strips * 1/4 onion sliced in short strips * 1 avocado * 5 cherry tomatoes chopped * 1/4 tsp garlic salt * 1 tsp olive oil * 4 hot dog buns * Butter * Dijon mustard Add a few slits ( not cutting all the way down) to hot dogs. Wrap a slice of bacon around hot dog. Heat 1/2 tsp olive oil in a skillet and add wrapped hot dogs. Turning them every 6-7 minutes until brown and crispy. Once done remove and put aside. In the same skillet add 1/2 tsp olive oil, add jalapeño’s and onions, let cook until softened. In a bowl mash avocado, add tomatoes and garlic salt and mix. Butter top and bottom of hot dog bun and place on a comal or skillet. Let toast for approximately 5 minutes. Add some avocado to bun, then hot dog, top with Dijon mustard, onion and jalapeño’s! Provecho 😋 #mexicanhotdogs#hotdogs#yummy#simpledinner#letseat
