A new report reveals a troubling decline in wealth among Black Americans, even as other racial groups across the country experience financial gains. According to the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), the median net worth of Black households dropped 25% between 2022 and 2025, falling from $49,100 to $36,800. The findings, based on newly released Federal Reserve data, show that Black Americans experienced a significant financial setback while White, Hispanic and Asian households saw their median wealth increase. The racial wealth gap remains substantial. In 2025, Asian households had the highest median net worth at $677,600, followed by White households at $332,100 and Hispanic households at $79,600. Black households ranked lowest at just $36,800. CEPR economist Algernon Austin suggests the decline in Black wealth is partly connected to decreases in the value of homes, vehicles and retirement accounts. The percentage of Black households holding nonfinancial assets also fell from 81% in 2022 to 78.4% in 2025. The report also raises concerns about federal policies under President Donald Trump’s administration, arguing that Black Americans are unlikely to receive meaningful federal assistance in addressing the growing wealth gap. However, the report does not establish that Trump’s policies caused the decline, which occurred between 2022 and 2025. What are your thoughts on these findings?
This 10-Second Test Predicts How Long You’ll Live… Can you balance on one leg for 10 seconds? Your answer may predict how long you will live. A major study followed more than 13,000 older adults for seven years and found that four simple physical tests, things you can do right now in your living room with just a sturdy chair, forecast survival with startling accuracy. Performing well on them was linked to a 42% to 59% lower risk of dying over the next seven years. The single strongest predictor was not your cholesterol or your blood pressure. It was how your body moves. Here is what most people miss: your annual checkup measures you sitting perfectly still. But real survival depends on how your brain, nerves, heart, and muscles work together the moment you stand, turn, or catch yourself from a fall. That function often waves a red flag years before any blood test does. In this video I walk you through all four tests, the exact numbers to hit for your age, and why walking five miles a day will NOT save you from a fall. Try the balance test and comment your time below. #HealthyAging #Longevity #BalanceTest
