More Manzambi brilliance and we lead at the break 👊

3 days, 2 sets, 1 big fat dream coming true. YA GIRL HAS HER FIRST AND SECOND (!!!) Network TV Credits IN THE BOOKS!!!!!!!! And yes, I have lines!!! And full character names!!! 😭😭😭😭

I will of course share what they are when I can so you guys can watch with me and hope I don’t get cut?? Oh God, does this mean I finally need to buy a TV??

For real, for real. This week has been a realization of everything I have been working towards. It took me 3 days to stop saying, “this is crazy” so I could actually do the work and stop freaking out that it was actually happening. I have been incredibly intentional about going this direction in my career, and to have two confirmations back to back was all the affirmation I needed. The universe is aligning in a way that is finally making sense to me and I am INCREDIBLY grateful. Y’all, I have been in final callbacks for multiple Broadway and pre-Broadway shows for the past many months and none of them have panned out, and now I know why. Trust your path!!!!!

AND - the extra special blessing was being on the same episode / having the next door trailer to my friend and homie @onye.emeakwari !!! Universe REALLY looking out for me with this one. (@terryknickerbockerstudio fam forever)

Huge thank you to my team @ellerysandhu & @rochisny for their support, and @anastasiaedwardsofficial for all her coaching that has lead me to this point. And @reelstrength @krzysztofbryjak who made me some 🔥🔥tapes that clearly made the difference for these!! And to @celestinerae @therealmannyherrera @ioanaalfonso @meganwilliamsdance @aixamastrangelo @castingbythem and my army of a community who helped me prepare for these moments. AND to casting, which I won’t mention now cause it’ll give too much away : )

Stay tuned for this little girls TV acting debut. We did it, Joe. 🥹😭🙏🏼

REACH (a poem I wrote)

Ironically, I wrote this poem after I did my final interview for @survivorcbs but before I knew if I made the cast.

Those 3 weeks of “not knowing” felt so wildly vulnerable.

I had put it all out there.
months of casting-
months of game prep-
and then it all comes down to 10 minutes in a room.

I knew- if I didn’t make it on,
there was no other way that I could feel but heartbroken.

It was in that suspension I wrote this words.
.
.
But then,
I GOT ON.
The “reach” WORKED.
I was going to play survivor.

(!!!!! PAUSE FOR EFFECT !!!!!)

But that meant- the poem was restarting again.
Playing the game was another wild reach.
The wildest reach yet.

And the only way out
was either as the winner
or heartbroken.

(Spoiler alert: we got heartbroken this time around).

And yet
I am wildly proud
of the heartbreak.

because it is evidence of the

HEART WIDE OPEN
absolutely all in
R E A C H
.
.
Dear Jenna:
In case you didn’t know-
you have to have A LOT inside of you
to reach like that.

I’m so f*cking proud of you.
