$Citi Trends Is the New Designer Plug? TikTok Shoppers Are Losing It Over Luxury Finds in the Most Unlikely Place Blogged by: LuxuryLife Citi Trends is having a major moment on TikTok, and shoppers are finding designer labels in places they never expected. The discount retailer is attracting attention as social media users share videos of what they say are luxury fashion finds, including Versace shoes, UGG footwear, Off-White merchandise, Alexander McQueen boots, and Givenchy boots at surprisingly affordable prices. The excitement surrounding these Citi Trends deals has turned an ordinary shopping trip into a potential designer treasure hunt. Instead of spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars at luxury boutiques, shoppers are searching their neighborhood stores for recognizable fashion labels at a fraction of their usual retail prices. Videos circulating among shoppers show why the excitement is building. People are documenting their discoveries, examining price tags, and sharing what they believe are impressive markdowns. The reported finds range from everyday footwear to statement boots associated with some of fashion’s biggest names. The UGG sightings have also generated conversation beyond TikTok. In one public Facebook post, a shopper claimed to have spotted genuine UGG merchandise at Citi Trends, adding to the interest in the retailer’s unexpected selection. While the designer discoveries might seem surprising, Citi Trends has been building its business around affordable fashion and recognizable brands for years. According to the company’s 2025 annual report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Citi Trends specializes in delivering fashionable merchandise at discounted prices, with a particular focus on Black consumers and their communities. The retailer also explained that it has expanded its selection of what it calls extreme value merchandise, including recognizable branded products offered at 50% to 75% below manufacturers’ suggested retail prices. Those discounts represent the company’s broader merchandise strategy, not confirmed markdowns on every designer item appearing in shopper videos.$
