The Flemish Primitive

ALBUS

I named this wonderfully bearded king Albus. Maybe it’s the beard and that he is holding a ring (see previous post), or that I was listening the the sixth audiobook of Harry Potter… but he sure looks like an Albus regardless. Just imagine this fluffy dude with Professor Dumbledore’s funny tasseled hat and slightly blackened hand.
You can find the original king hidden in the Great East Window of the York minster (UK). The entire window is now completely online at https://stainedglass-navigator.yorkglazierstrust.org and you can zoom in on all of the amazing details. More GEW-characters to come for sure!! #theflemishprimitive #drawing #albus #harrypotter  #digitalart #blackink #lineart #illustration #drawing #linedrawing #art #digitaldrawing #tattooart #create #art #inkstagram #blackwork #medieval #medievalart #stainedglass #stainedglasspainting #doodleart #doodle #glassart #GEW #greateastwindow #yorkminster #york
