Startups with good funding.. gold mines for Job Hunters

Want a job in the UK and need visa sponsorship? Look beyond the big corporates

These 10 UK startups have raised serious money in 2026, from £40M to £1.5B. Fresh funding usually means one thing: they need people, fast.

Why a funded startup could be your best move

- They have the budget. Sponsoring a visa costs employers real money in licence fees and the Immigration Skills Charge. Startups that just raised millions can afford to invest in the right hire.

- They’re growing. New funding goes straight into hiring, and many of these companies are building whole new teams right now.

- They want you to stay. Hiring and sponsoring someone takes time and money, so growing startups would much rather keep great people than replace them. That can mean faster promotions, more responsibility and real long-term stability.

- You’ll learn faster. Small teams mean bigger impact. You won’t be a number on a spreadsheet.

- Pro tip: not every startup sponsors visas. Before you apply, search the company on the UK government’s Register of Licensed Sponsors (Workers), and check the job ad mentions sponsorship.

- Save this for your job hunt
- Send it to a friend looking for UK jobs
