I go live weeknights here for a post show keke..... come thru friends!
She told me on the very first call that she was body positive. That she had been shamed by relatives her whole life. That she was finally at peace with herself and would not marry a man who made her feel bad about her size. I respected that completely. We added it to her profile in her own words. Then the matches went out. First rejection. He is cute but too chubby for me. Second rejection. His stomach is very visible in the photos. Third rejection. I need someone who at least goes for a walk. Every single rejection was about his body. On our next call I shared my screen and put two things next to each other. The note she had written on her profile. And the three lines she had sent me about these men. She said, but that is different. I have been through a lot because of my weight. I said, so have these men. You just never asked. The third man, the one she rejected for not going on walks, had written on his own profile that he was working on his health and would like a partner who would not judge him for it. He had asked for exactly what she had asked for. Word for word. That is when she went quiet. I did not soften my tone. She was not paying me to make her feel good. I told her that what she was calling body positivity was really just protection of her own body. She wanted every man to look past her weight while giving herself full permission to reject them for the same reason. You cannot ask the world to stop judging you and then sit in the judge’s chair yourself. Attraction matters. If you want a fit partner you are allowed to want that. But say it honestly instead of hiding behind the language of acceptance. The moment you write do not judge me on your profile, you are not just asking for kindness. You are promising to give it back. At the end of the call she asked a little defensively, so what, should I start going to the gym now? I said no. You just need to stop rejecting men for the same thing you have asked them not to reject you for. Save this. Send it to someone who needs to read both sides of this. #fyp #explore #matchmaking #dating #marriage

The Delhi High Court, passed judgment in a PIL against the makers of movie Mirzapur for using the popular song Shoorveer and finned them with rupees 50,000, while instructing that the same amount shall be deposited in the Indian Army welfare fund. Major L S Chaudhary had a conversation with the petitioner in the said PIL. Is the use of such a song in such a movie, disrespect to our legendary historical warrior?
