Being the woman who was financially supporting her husband wasn’t exactly the conventional marriage story I imagined for myself. But I wasn’t keeping score. I wanted him to become debt-free so we could finally plan our future together without the weight of medical school loans holding us back. I thought we were building something together.

I share this not because I’m ashamed of the choices I made, but because I know how easy it is to confuse being a supportive partner with carrying more than you should.

You can be independent, generous, and believe in someone’s potential without sacrificing your own financial security. Love shouldn’t require you to abandon protecting yourself.

And if you’ve ever looked back and wondered how you didn’t see the signs, please give yourself grace. You made decisions based on what you believed was true at the time. 🤍

This isn’t tea. It’s a conversation more of us need to have—especially as Desi women, when we’re often taught to protect the marriage before we protect ourselves.

You can be a good partner and still have boundaries. You can love someone and still ask questions. Both can be true.

Part 4 of Who TF Did I Marry?! 🤍

I’m so very sad at the news that I’ve got today. An amazing longtime friend of mine has gone to hang with the angels. While I don’t know the reason, I have some assumptions on what may have happened.

Now I haven’t talked to @rjmitte in a few years, although for some reason I reached out last week. I never heard back.. 😢😢

But, R.J. is the reason I took off on a whim on Friday to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the Albuquerque balloon fiesta. I haven’t been to it in many years, but I had an urgent feeling that I wanted to be there after seeing the photos of him there a few days prior… oddly enough he also popped up in my feed a couple days after in a funny video on @danielmoncada’s page.. ironically the last time I talked to R.J., I was standing next to Daniel.

Such an incredible individual, the world has lost a special one.. condolences to all his family and friends, including his fiancé Kennedy, @rollinwithjz, and @jasondangerdiaz..

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🩵

And no, it’s not just about a free shirt hahaha. We’ve just shaken up a billion dollar a year industry by making premium weather data FREE for everyone.

If you’re heading to the Annapolis Boat Show, swing by the @seapeopleapp booth, grab yourself a free shirt and come join us for a march down Main Street on Saturday at 5pm!

It’s a pretty wild time to be alive with everything happening in tech and honestly, something like this was bound to happen eventually. We’re just so bloody stoked that our developers put their heads down and figured out how to make it happen. They’re absolute legends.

This is going to help make the ocean safer and weather information more accessible for everyone.

So PLEASE share FreeTheWind.com or the SeaPeople app with your mates, family, anyone who spends time on the water.

100 YEARS OF FREE PREMIUM WEATHER. Go claim yours. No catches, no bullshit. Although jeez, we probably need to come up with a catch at some point because we’ve basically been giving away cool shit for free since we launched SeaPeople two years ago hahahaha.

If you feel like subscribing to SeaPeople in app and buying our developers a beer, that would mean the world to all of us. But absolutely don’t have to. That’s the whole point.

Big love to you all!!! Seriously, thanks for being part of this and helping us get here. We couldn’t have done it without you.

LET’S FREE THE WIND!!! 🌬️⛵️
Love you guys x
