Neighbors! Sharrieffa Barksdale & The Domestic Violence She Survived __ The world saw an Olympian, but behind the uniform was a powerful story of strength, sacrifice, and survival. HURDLES, an upcoming biopic film currently in development with Gentel Sharrie Productions, tells the inspiring story of 1984 U.S. Olympian Sharrieffa Barksdale, the first American woman to break the 55-second barrier in the 400-meter hurdles. __ Beyond her historic athletic achievements, Barksdale overcame domestic violence, heartbreak, personal loss, and adversity, finding strength through faith and perseverance. Now, 44 years after competing in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, she is preparing to return for LA28 as part of the USA Track & Field supporting staff. Her extraordinary journey will be brought to life by her daughter, award-winning actress and producer Gentel Sharrie, who will portray her mother in the upcoming film. HURDLES is more than a sports biopic; it’s a story of resilience, survival, and breaking barriers both on and off the track. __ The project features narration by JAVA, photography and videography by Dante J. Cutley, and hairstyling by Tiauna lovelyhairandbeauty. HURDLES — Coming Soon. 🔥🎥🏆💪🏾 Thoughts? @gentelsharrie @sbark1984 @gentelsharrieproductions @a.djc.production @djcvision @_lovelyhairandbeauty
