This was the first time holding an owl for a photo shoot. Great memories from @reallywildclothing and @skibocastle in Scotland. In my new book, I write about my modeling career and how it accelerated in my 70s. TIMELESS - The Art of Reinvention and Resilience at Any Age 📕 https://lnk.to/TimelessMayeMusk #ItsGreatToBe78
I saw Apple’s new smart display in New York City this week, and it’s gorgeous. The Apple HomeView puts a small, vibrant screen atop a speaker base for taking video calls, beautifully displaying photos, and providing information at a glance with Apple’s Siri AI voice assistant. The device’s square shape makes it feel less imposing than larger smart displays like Google’s Nest Hub Max or Amazon’s Echo Show 11, and I can see it fitting nicely on my kitchen counter — though it might be a hair too big for my bedside table. The new $299 smart display has Siri AI built in, enabling natural-language voice interactions to ask general-knowledge questions, control smart home devices via voice and touch, and get information using personal context from your text messages, calendar, and emails. Personal context requires facial recognition and for your Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone to be on the same network, so your kids can’t peek at your texts over breakfast. My concern is how seamlessly it will switch between profiles and how limited it will be when it doesn’t recognize you — I’ve had too many instances of yelling at Siri on my HomePod because it refuses to find my iPhone until I authenticate on the iPhone I’m asking it to find. Ameca is getting attention for a reaction that feels almost eerily human. 🤖👀 The humanoid robot created by British robotics company Engineered Arts was captured observing its reflection in a mirror. Its delicate facial movements and expressions make the moment look surprisingly realistic. Ameca’s face uses a network of motors and actuators to produce expressions such as smiling, blinking, frowning and raising its eyebrows. These tiny movements help recreate the subtle cues people naturally associate with human behavior. However, a lifelike reaction doesn't mean the robot is experiencing emotions or recognizing its own reflection as a person would. Its movements are driven by advanced robotics and software designed to make interactions between humans and machines feel more natural. Even so, seeing a humanoid robot interact with a mirror in such a convincing way offers a fascinating look at how far robotic technology has progressed. The line between mechanical movement and humanlike behavior is becoming increasingly interesting. 🤯 👉👉Follow @aiupdates.hub for daily insights that keep you ahead in AI, Tech and Robotics 🎥 Source: @engineered_arts #Ameca #HumanoidRobot #Robotics #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureTechnology
