Mom, I’m not even sure where to start. And I’m having a hard time even writing this. But what I do know is that you were the strongest, most persevering, and supportive woman in my life. You overcame a rare blood disorder. 8. F***ing. Times. And despite losing your fight against cancer yesterday, you took it to OT. You fought twice as long as was expected. 3 whole years. What an absolute warrior. It’s going to be so strange from this point on. I know, however, that wherever I go, you’ll be there with me in some way. I’ll be sure to look for little signs that show you’re still thinking of not only me, but your whole family. Now go, I’m sure you parents are waiting to see you. And remember, like you’d always tell us. “I love you to the moon and back.” Rest In Peace Caroline Intveldt. Or as I call her, mom. I’ll remember you forever.
