Palestinian American activists and authors Alana Hadid and Jenan Matari have withdrawn their children’s book on Palestinian history from Penguin Random House over disputed edits to passages on the Nakba and the October 7 escalation, which they say misrepresented and sanitised their account.⁣
⁣
“Penguin was never actually going to allow us just to write the book we wanted to write,” said Hadid, the older sister of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, in an interview with US newspaper.⁣
⁣
their forthcoming book 'Displacement and the Palestinian American Story' will instead be published by Palestinian-owned Interlink Books in 2027. Penguin Random House said its editing followed standard procedures and that it supported the authors’ decision to withdraw.⁣

Our sisters had such a fun time over fall break! We are so excited to be back in Tempe with all our favorite people💗

Rowlet is.. Red?? it’s like some kind of.. angry bird. It CANNOT be placed there. ❌❌ Also I love Pokemon emulators sometimes bc like they either work fine and you can enjoy playing at 200% speed or it got ur ass playing evil Pokemon or something. Also I’d pick Tyrunt for slide 7

Myktybek Orolbai’s father shared a heartfelt message for his son, expressing how proud he is of him and the honour he has brought to their family and people.

“May God always bless you with happy and joyful days, my son. Keep making us proud. Always remain a son of your people.

‘A good son brings honor to his father, and a good horse brings honor to its people.’

Thank God, my son has done well. He has made my name known around the world. That makes me incredibly proud. May God bless you, my son. Stay safe and live in peace.”
