First time I met Lionel M Macauley was @verbalmayhem he was performing the Will Smith “how come he don’t want me” monologue from Fresh Prince . I thought to myself: “WOW! He really pulled that off! What an amazing talent! How can anyone follow that?” Sure enough, I was next up to perform.

At the time I was far from a confident performer but somehow I wasn’t intimidated. Lionel had an energy that not only makes you see his undeniable greatness but also allowed you to see that greatness that resides in all of us.

I’ve only known Lionel for a few years but the impact this brother had on me in this short time cannot be overstated.

Honored to have called him a friend and a collaborator and it is my hope that we continue his legacy by always striving for greatness and to remain forever BLESSED & GRATEFUL 🕊🙏🏾
