🏪 Interesting fact:
⠀
Superstore (2015–2021) — This comedy series follows a unique family of employees working at Cloud 9, a fictional big-box chain store. From bright-eyed newbies to seen-it-all veterans and clueless summer hires, they hilariously tackle the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters, riot-causing sales, and nap-worthy training sessions, all while navigating their workplace relationships.
⠀
One interesting production fact is that the pilot episode of Superstore was filmed at a redressed Kmart, with its signage visible. However, for the rest of the series, the production moved to sets specifically constructed on two soundstages.
⠀
What makes Superstore stand out is its hilarious portrayal of the mundane yet chaotic world of a super-sized mega store, exploring the dynamics of a diverse group of employees who become a unique family. The series delves into themes of workplace camaraderie, the challenges of retail, and the pursuit of personal goals amidst the daily grind. Its central question is whether a disparate group of individuals can find common ground and meaning in an often-thankless job.

The difference between average and elite was never talent. It’s how long you’re willing to sacrifice. ⏳💎
⠀
High performers understand something most people never accept. Real progress is expensive. It costs weekends, vacations, nights out and years where nobody sees what you’re building.
⠀
Plenty of people are willing to sacrifice too. For a week. Maybe a month. Then life gets comfortable, they step off, and a few months later they start again, wondering why nothing has changed.
⠀
It’s like getting on a treadmill for a minute, stepping off, and starting over a thousand times. You feel tired, so you assume you’ve done the work. But you never stayed on long enough for any of it to add up.
⠀
The people at the top didn’t always work harder in a single day. They just never stepped off. Many of them gave up their twenties without a real vacation, and they were fine with that, because they knew exactly what it was buying.
⠀
Consistency never looks impressive while you’re doing it. It only looks impressive years later, when everyone’s asking how you got there.
⠀
Progress doesn’t reward the people who start the most. It rewards the ones who never stop.
