I’m sending a new hive-based work to
@central_curator and the
@adelaidecentralschool for their upcoming benefit exhibition Wish You Were Here 2020. From the curator, Andrew Purvis “The proceeds from Wish You Were Here 2020 will be used to provide further scholarship support for the school’s most outstanding students. This financial boost enables talented students to enjoy one of the best visual arts educations in the country. Scholarships facilitate the purchase of essential study equipment, subsidise students’ living expenses, and enable them to fully focus on their studies. In light of proposed Federal Government changes to higher education, it is vital that we do what we can to ensure that a quality visual arts education remains an aspiration for the many, not the few.
Adelaide Central School of Art is a not-for-profit organisation, and Australia’s only wholly independent art school. The school does not receive any recurrent State or Federal Government funding. For the third year in a row, the School was identified as the best art school in Australia for student experience, according to the latest national Student Experience Survey (SES) findings (released in March 2020).”
Wish You Were Here 2020 will be on view from Saturday 7 November – Friday 20 November 2020.
