🇫🇷 How to Speak English with a Beautiful French Accent

A little fun from last night. Happy All Saint’s Day! May the love of Christ and the communion of the Saints be with you!

A little about how our family approaches All Hallows’ Eve! 🎃

Growing up in a conservative Evangelical family, we didn’t observe All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Day, and we didn’t celebrate Halloween.

My husband, on the other hand, was raised in a devout Catholic family that celebrated All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day with elaborate costumes, trick-or-treating, prayer, and Mass.

In our family, we avoid costumes or decorations that glamorize evil. But we see dressing up and going trick-or-treating with our neighbors as a fun, wholesome way to connect, build community, and enjoy time together. We also celebrate with prayer and Mass.

We always give our kids the option of dressing up as saints, too! I encouraged Leo to be Pope Leo this year, but he had his heart set on being a ninja. 😂 Maybe next year!

There are beautiful Christian traditions surrounding these holy days, and I love that our Catholic faith calls us to reject what is evil while embracing what is good, true, and wholesome. We can enjoy innocent fun while also sharing the deeper meaning of All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day with our children and others.

I’m not sharing our family’s exact approach as a prescription for everyone else. I’ve had wonderful priests on my podcast who have shared varying perspectives on cultural practices around Hallow’s Eve, including differing opinions on secular costumes (many priests say dress up and have fun, while others encourage wearing Catholic-specific costumes).

I encourage every family to learn about the history of these holy days, pray, and discern how best to observe them. And, of course, to celebrate the great Solemnity of All Saints with Holy Mass!

Above all, we want to raise our children to love what is good, reject what is evil, and find joy in the beautiful gift of our faith. ❤️

Comment "RETAKE" and I'll DM you the repo link to the free Claude tutor that fails you until you actually know it. Follow so the DM lands 📩

👇 READ BELOW: how it works, and the catch.

1. You hand it your notes or files, and it chops your subject into a map of steps.

2. It quizzes you on every step, and a fixed gate decides if you can move on. One or two right answers aren't enough to count as mastered.

3. It can also make video lessons with captions that play in your browser.

4. It's free and open source (Apache 2.0), past 53,000 GitHub stars, and it signs in through Claude Code, so a Claude plan works with no API key.

The catch: you install it yourself on your computer, and Claude use counts against your plan. It's a study tool, so follow your school's rules on AI.

For the repo link, comment "RETAKE".
