Assalamu’alaikum wr wb
Sahabat UAH semoga sehat selalu…

Sehat selalu semuanya…..
Salam,
UAH

Mack is back. 😎

Double digits. 🥳🥳🥳🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Who she is at 10:

Most importantly, she has big questions about God. Like, hard questions, and I kind of love that. It means she is not just falling in line, but thinking.

She loves her family. Shes not just a mamas girl, but I would say equal dad and mamas girl. She loves the littles and will sit on the floor and play with them. She loves supporting her friends. She loves animals. She clearly loves horses. She loves making up little dances with her friends.

She is giving volleyball a go this fall, which should be interesting. 🤣 She loves skiing. She loved mountain biking. Maybe I should just sign her up for the X Games. 🤣

She has a contagious laugh. She is deeply empathetic. She wears her emotions close to the vest. She is majorly independent and even mothers me sometimes. “Mom, here is your phone.” 😶‍🌫️

She has her own unique place in the world, as all kids do, and I remind her of that all the time. God made each of us unique. Who cares if you don’t fit into someone’s mold? God did not make a mistake.

I hope she keeps pressing on into her own little lane that God has already gone before her and paved. I hope she never just melts into the mold. I hope she finds out exactly why she was created and lives for things of eternity.

I really hope she is healthy.

Never thought I would write that, but things have changed. Prayers have changed. If I’m being brutally honest, I used to want what I wanted for her, and now I see how ridiculous that really is. My ways are not better. I cannot see her future, but what I can do is encourage her in her faith exploration, cheer her on in anything she wants to try, and get on my knees and pray for her.

10 flew by, which makes me so sad, and also, I love having a 10-year-old. 🤍 She made me a mom and once I am done parenting her I can totally see us being best friends and I am hopeful and prayerful to get many years with her and get to see her have kids. Again, things I thought I wouldn’t be praying when she was 10. Honey, I’m already dreaming of the design of your first apartment and I so badly want to be there for all of it.
