🚨 there is no single way to be a Black woman, we are all so different, with our own experiences, personalities, ambitions and stories to tell, so we deserve to see all those different sides of ourselves reflected on screen. 💕🎬💅🏾✨📺🍿☁️

honestly y’all there is no story we can’t lead, and our girls have been making that VERY clear this year because Black women have been giving us RANGE on screen so far this year and we are here for every bit of it. BUT much as we’re celebrating these performances, has anyone else noticed now we’re dwindling from leading roles??? y’all know we had to hit you with the data, recent research from USC Annenberg found that just 15 of the 100 highest-grossing films of 2025 featured a woman of colour in a leading or co-leading role, this is exactly why supporting Black women on screen still matters. representation shapes what we see as possible, especially for young Black girls growing up watching these stories. so we’re we’re giving these on screen leading ladies their flowers, but let’s be clear, we want NEED MOREEEE leading roles, more opportunities, and more stories!

so y’all how many of these have you seen and please put us on to any films or shows we’ve missed because we’re always looking for something good to watch! 👀🍿💕
