My niece posted a couple days ago in Nebraska, thus she is relatively far away, that she got the first vaccine. I was shocked. Wanted to ask if she was forced to because of her job...she is a pharmacist in a hospital. Need to send her stuff from #Circle of Mamas, and/ or @The Truth About Vaccines due to her having three little kids

This one’s tender for me. But I’d like to share in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 🤍

8 years ago, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Over time, with a lot of support, honest conversations with my care team, and more evaluation + new information, my diagnosis changed to something different.

I’m sharing this because so much of my healing came from being seen in all my complexity. But I want to be really careful with how this lands, because my story is my story, not a roadmap.

For most people living with bipolar disorder, it’s a lifelong condition. It’s real, it’s valid, and it’s not something you can think, wish, or “heal” your way out of. And that’s not a failure. So many people with bipolar live full, beautiful, thriving lives because they’ve found treatment that works for them. If that’s you, I see you, and I’m so proud of you for every hard day you’ve shown up for yourself.

So please hear this from my whole heart: 🤍 Never stop or change your medication without talking to your provider first. Stopping suddenly can be genuinely dangerous, even when you feel good (sometimes especially when you feel good). If you have questions about your diagnosis or treatment, bring them to someone who knows your full picture.

My journey hasn’t been linear, and I’m still learning.

If you’re struggling right now, you don’t have to carry it alone. In the US, you can call or text 988 anytime. Asking for help isn’t a failure, it isn’t rock bottom, it’s the bravest thing you can do. 🤍
