“I guess we should ban cars and drugs!”
Every dollar you donate here, we will match.

Your donation to @everytown helps prevent future school shootings by teaching families how to keep guns out of children’s hands, advocating for background checks & secure-storage laws, and supporting survivors and students who are working to make their schools safer.

As a Mom, I feel like I’m running to find a solution before this reaches my kids. I would never forgive myself if I felt like I wasn’t brave enough to use my platform to talk about it enough. To raise enough money. To change enough minds. Before it happens at home. Because it can happen anywhere (in the US).

For all of our kids, let’s push back.

This is one way we can help. I hope you’ll help us move the needle just a little bit more.

Together with former Thunderbirds pilot Mace Curran (@mace_curran) and epidemiologist and public health expert Jessica Malaty Rivera (@jessicamalatyrivera) we will match funds up to $15000.

I GOT TO SING WITH THE SEX PISTOLS!!!!! still cant believe this happened. I begged these guys every night to play silly thing like an annoying little child, and somehow, on one of the last nights of tour, they finally agreed and asked if id sing it with them. What the hell!!!!! My mind is still blown. This band is so important to me, nevermind the bollocks and the great rock n roll swindle were some of the first records i ever bought with my own money when i was about 11 or 12 years old. This song is also so special and so fucking good, ive always thought it deserves more recognition. LONG LIVE THE PISTOLS AND LONG LIVE SILLY THING!!!! THANK U FOR A WONDERFUL TOUR I WISH IT COULD LAST FOREVER @cartercookjonesmatlock @sexpistols @jonesysjukebox @frankcarter23 @glenmatlock1 @paulcook 💛💄🧷

There’s something wonderfully improbable about falling in love with someone who lives on the other side of the ocean.

Of all the people in the world, all the places we could have been, and all the circumstances that had to align for our paths to cross, somehow, we found each other.

And a few weeks ago, the woman I fell in love with from thousands of miles away flew across an ocean to spend three weeks with me in Brooklyn.

I’ve been trying to find the words to describe what those weeks meant, but I think the most beautiful part was how wonderfully ordinary it all felt.

The laughter, the adventures, the ridiculous conversations, the quiet mornings. The way we could spend hours doing absolutely nothing and never want to be anywhere else. Discovering all the little things about someone that you can’t quite learn through a screen. Realizing that the person I’d fallen in love with from afar was somehow even more extraordinary up close.

For a long time, I thought healing meant becoming someone who couldn’t be hurt again. But I’m learning that maybe it means having the courage to remain open to something beautiful, even when you know how vulnerable love can make you.

And what a beautiful thing this has been.

There’s something extraordinary about two people living entirely different lives on opposite sides of the world finding each other and feeling so profoundly understood. About someone feeling so new and yet so wonderfully familiar. About love making thousands of miles feel impossibly far away and somehow irrelevant all at once.

I’ve spent years studying what makes people feel connected, valued, and worthy of love. Yet here I am, still marveling at the experience of being human. Of finding someone who sees you, chooses you, and makes ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

I don’t know what the future holds. But in a world of eight billion people, finding a love like this feels like a one-in-a-million kind of miracle.

And perhaps the most beautiful lesson life keeps teaching me is that there are still wonderful things waiting to surprise us.

Sometimes, they even fly across an ocean to find us ✈️
