I spent over 30 years with hair I hated. Apparently, some people would prefer I’d stayed unhappy so they could enjoy looking at me. These are real comments. About a haircut. And somehow we’ve ended up discussing whether women’s opinions of themselves count without a man’s approval. I love my shaved head. I’m the one who lives in this body, and I finally feel like myself.
