TITAN-4 UPDATE — WE FINALLY FOUND THE ISSUE! 🔧

We finally identified the cause of the initial laser shift on the TITAN-4, and it turns out the issue is related to the mounting base.

Here’s what we discovered during testing:

We zeroed the TITAN-4, removed it from the rail, and then reinstalled it using the exact same torque.

After reinstalling, the laser was no longer at its original zero. However, after vibration testing, the laser returned to its original zero.

We’ve redesigned and improved the mounting base for the final production version to address this issue.

For those who already received a pre-production TITAN-4, removing the washer from the mounting bolt may help reduce this issue, although we haven’t fully determined why this makes a difference.

ABOUT THE BROKEN BOLTS 🔩

We also identified an issue with the mounting bolts.

The TITAN-4 bolts underwent additional hardening to increase their hardness. Unfortunately, this also reduced their toughness, making them more brittle and more prone to breaking.

We recommend a mounting torque of 25 in-lbs.

We’ll also be sending replacement bolts to our California warehouse so customers can get them replaced.

PRE-PRODUCTION INVENTORY UPDATE 📦

We’ve decided that all remaining TITAN-4 units with the original mounting base design will be sold as pre-production units.

Our website inventory has now been updated, and these units are available again!

FINAL PRODUCTION VERSION — EARLY NOVEMBER! 🚀

We’re currently planning to launch the final production TITAN-4 in early November.

The final version will feature an improved mounting base, updated firmware, and fixes for other issues we’ve identified during testing.

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased a pre-production TITAN-4, shared feedback, and helped us identify these problems.

Your feedback is helping us build a better TITAN-4.

We truly appreciate your patience and support!
