A dream came true this past weekend. Words cannot describe how it feels to bring an ODAC title back to Salem, especially in an event engraved into the history of Roanoke College by the legacies of previous athletes, like Harrison Toney and Carmen Graves. I just hope I’m filling the shoes well.

None of this would have been possible without the support from those dear to me. I want to thank my fellow teammates and coaches for pushing me to be the best version of myself, my family for being my rock and foundation through this whole process (love you guys ❤️), and to those who help me to see the brighter side of things when I do not perform as desired.

I also want to take a moment to realize that I am blessed with a gift I often take for granted. Some of my very close friends have been very supportive for me through this process, but are currently unable to enjoy the sport due to injury. Even though I can’t fully understand their hardships, I can feel their pain, but am even more inspired by their resilience. I hope that I can return the same energy to them through their journeys, and I wish them all speedy recoveries so they can lace up and return to the sport we all fell in love with.
