Queen City Challenge was pretty cool

First A-Tier and tournament competing in MA1. A lot of highs and just as many lows, but overall such a fun experience. Shoutout to my parents for coming to watch me play round 1, and to my dad and @cadegreen56 for caddying me and saving my back 🤣 Also was always fun watching the pros do their thing, which is always inspirational.

Quite a solid weekend. Followed up an underwhelming performance in the 5k with a pretty decent finish in the 3k steeple. While I’m not too happy with where my fitness is currently, I am just very fortunate to be back competing and feeling healthy after a major injury and covid. But, I still got more to come! Time to put my head back down and get ready for ODAC’s in two weeks 😶‍🌫️
Also big shoutout to my family, friends, teammates, coaches and PT for supporting me through all this. Love all y’all! ❤️❤️

Didn’t even do a cannonball 😢

A dream came true this past weekend. Words cannot describe how it feels to bring an ODAC title back to Salem, especially in an event engraved into the history of Roanoke College by the legacies of previous athletes, like Harrison Toney and Carmen Graves. I just hope I’m filling the shoes well.
•
None of this would have been possible without the support from those dear to me. I want to thank my fellow teammates and coaches for pushing me to be the best version of myself, my family for being my rock and foundation through this whole process (love you guys ❤️), and to those who help me to see the brighter side of things when I do not perform as desired.
•
I also want to take a moment to realize that I am blessed with a gift I often take for granted. Some of my very close friends have been very supportive for me through this process, but are currently unable to enjoy the sport due to injury. Even though I can’t fully understand their hardships, I can feel their pain, but am even more inspired by their resilience. I hope that I can return the same energy to them through their journeys, and I wish them all speedy recoveries so they can lace up and return to the sport we all fell in love with.

Love you all ❤️❤️ couldn’t do it without you guys

What a weekend. Opened up the season with a very successful 1000m! Ran a time of 2:34.75 to break the former school record, and achieved nearly a 5 second personal best as well.
.
I am very happy with this effort, but I am just as grateful and thankful for my friends, family, teammates, and coaches who have and continue to push me to be not only the best student-athlete I can be, but also the best version of myself. But, I still got a whole lot of work to do. Great job to everyone else who ran this weekend!

Welp, I guess it’s now or never...
.
I’ve been wanting to make this post for quite some time, but wanted to wait until today for a reason. Last year around this time, I found the courage to tell many of my close friends a pretty important secret that I had kept to myself for my whole life, but was still nervous for how they would react to it. However, I came to find that they all reacted pretty much the same: they were all very supportive, appreciative, and proud for what I did. All my fears of hate and negativity faded away with the positivity and encouragement my friends gave to me, and made me much more confident with this part about me.
Going into college was a little different, where since I was going into a new environment with a bunch of people I didn’t know. I even felt scared that my teammates would react adversely, but get again I was proven wrong when my new friends up there acted in the same fashion as my other friends.
So, after a long wait, I’ve decided to fully come out as a bisexual. Honestly, I would just not post this long message solely for the reason that I’ve heard from others: this information isn’t anybody else’s business. I know that because of this fact, not only might I receive hate and negativity, people might just go out of their way to make my business their own, spreading the word like a flame, trying to tear down my reputation. Honestly, I could care less haha. But, my reason for posting this is much more deeper:
So many people hide in the closet because they fear how the world react. They fear that their friends will turn against them. Or, they might even fear their own family won’t accept them. Whatever the reason, fear caused by hate and discrimination might cause closeted people of the LGBTQ+ community to have to live forced lives, love in secret, or overall not be who they truly are. And this reality is really sad, and is one that must change.
So, I provide this post as support for those who live closeted. You don’t need to come out, your sexual identity is very okay however open you feel to be. But, don’t feel like you need to live in fear. If you need to talk to someone, DM me. by @cooperneeble

Happy Earth Day! In lieu of everything that is going on, it’s important to be thankful for this special place we are lucky to inhabit. Being the one planet in our known universe that is able to provide the specific factors for life to flourish, it’s true when we say there’s no place like Earth.
-
However, on this Earth day, I believe it is necessary, more than ever, to focus on the negative effects that modern industrialization has left on the planet. The climate has been changing to where the yearly average temperature continues to rise, polar ice caps melt and shrink, weather worsens and becomes more severe, and an unfixable hope in our ozone layer continues to increase in size. Without action, greenhouse gases will continue to ruin our climate beyond repair. Even though we are lucky to live on this planet, why do we treat it like crap?
-
The only way to stop our impending doom is to take action. If we are able to encourage lawmakers and politicians in power through education and activism, the world as we know it might turn for the better. So, happy Earth Day, and hopefully take time to appreciate this planet for the beauty it holds.

Glad to be back on track (no pun intended lol). Still got some work to do, but I couldn’t be happier to run in circles again. Onto the next! by @cooperneeble

What a great finish to my final individual track season at CHS! The last four years in running has taught me many different lessons. Most importantly, I know that I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my family, coaches, and, most importantly, my team. I’m very thankful for all of my teammates, and I truly don’t know where I would be without you guys. I will always be proud to be a blue demon 🇧🇧. Now, it’s on to nationals! by @cooperneeble
