@ilanamuhlsteinrd made a mess in my car but it was worth it

.

Fellow musicians… song writers … performers … bands.

I see a lot of you posting about how down you are , how depressed you are that you released a song on your Socials and you’re not getting noticed or people aren’t responding. No one cares.

I got news for you if you thought it was gonna be that easy … just recording a song and posting it on Socials and digital platforms … i’m sorry, but that’s delusional. And respectfully … lazy and entitled.

Yes, there’s a one in 1 billion chances one of your songs may go viral … but that ain’t being an artist … an artist has to earn that kind of success or adoration.

And I believe the only true way to get what you deserve is to become who you are ON A STAGE way before recording and releasing anything. You see when singles first came out way back in the 1900s they were only used to give to radio stations to promote your shows so people could come and see you perform and then if you were incredible, and delivered and had something special you were on your way.

Because performing live to humans is the only way you’re gonna get that kind of love and respect … much more so than just releasing a cool clip of a song on socials. that’s how you will separate yourself from the pack because in this day of quick fixes on your phone , and no longer knowing if what you’re actually watching and listening to is real or not … there is a revolution happening that people are searching for the human experience more and more.

THIS IS YOUR TIME. no matter your age.

Keep pushing on that stage … play back yard parties , small, shitty clubs , bars, Hustle , and I promise you if you have something to offer musically or something to say … with passion, fire, and a WHAT THE FUCK performance , word gets out and THEY WILL COME.

I know you might be thinking that this is old-school thinking… but I promise you rock ‘n’ roll was ALWAYS built for the stage. It must be FELT and experienced not just heard. Fans at a show will never forget how you made them feel.

And between your performance and socials if you are who you believe you are … the gatekeepers will come to YOU.

Exam week! Btw Canryn says what Jack said was not correct. Was he?
