At Taubah juz 11 ayat 94
Filipina content creator Maeurn Smiles is putting part of the money she earned online toward something very different: building an education centre and future school for children in Cebu. In 2024, Maeurn purchased land in Lutac, Naga, Cebu for ₱1.75 million. Her own Mundo & Mae Educ project says the long term plan is a multi story school and education centre with 11 to 12 classrooms designed to serve hundreds of students. The larger school is not finished yet. But in 2025, Maeurn opened a smaller learning centre on the property where local children have participated in activities including science experiments, cooking and other hands on lessons. Maeurn told TMZ that she originally wanted to donate the land so the government could build the school. She changed course after learning she would not be able to name the government built school after her late father, so she decided to take responsibility for developing the project herself. Her connection to education goes back years. Maeurn has said her family could not afford to send her to college and that she left school at 17. She later spent long days teaching English online, primarily to Chinese students, before eventually building a career as an adult content creator. She has also publicly described how an intimate video was leaked without her permission following a blackmail attempt when she was younger, an experience she says influenced the direction her online career eventually took. Years later, she is directing some of those earnings back toward the dream she once had of working in education. The project’s stated mission: give children access to learning and opportunities regardless of their financial background. #Filipinosinthe6ix Photo Credit: Maeurn Smiles / @maeurn.tv / Mundo & Mae Educ
