SISU — THE POWER WITHIN. Born in the cold. Driven by fire.❄️🔥🇫🇮 Introducing Finland’s National Costume for Miss Universe @missuniverse 2026, worn by Miss Universe Finland @veeragronlund and designed by @aviadarikherman A sculpted silver corset, a shimmering skirt and delicate embroidered leaves echo the ice, frost and beauty of the Finnish North. A sweeping flame cape reveals the fire within — the courage and determination that carry us forward. Ice represents where we come from.💎 Fire represents what carries us forward.🔥 At its heart is SISU: the quiet determination to keep going, even when you feel you have reached your limits. This costume is also a tribute to the women of Finland. The pioneers who opened doors, the generations who built our country and the women who continue to lift others as they rise. When Veera steps onto the Miss Universe stage, she will carry their spirit with her. 🇫🇮 This is SISU. SISU in her soul. 🔥❄️ Every detail tells a story. From frost-like embroidery to jewelled flames, Aviad Arik Herman’s design brings ice and fire together — with flame-shaped glasses as the finishing touch. Getting anything made in this town right now is no small feat, and it’s getting harder every day. It takes a lot to get a good project off the ground these days, and I’m really proud of @therealangelopagan and the entire team who worked so hard to make this happen. Congratulations to everyone involved!
