Actress #SelmaBlair was reportedly arrested following a chaotic incident aboard a #DeltaAirlines flight, during which she allegedly attacked two flight attendants and attempted to open an aircraft door mid-flight.

According to TMZ, the “Legally Blonde” star was traveling to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday (Oct. 11) when she allegedly tried to open the plane’s door, sparking a confrontation with crew members. Blair is accused of punching one flight attendant and biting another. The New York Port Authority confirmed that two flight attendants reported injuries, with one requiring hospitalization. Blair was arrested after the plane landed and transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Her rep attributed the incident to a medical emergency, telling TMZ, “Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition.” The cause of the reported medical emergency remains unclear, and authorities have not confirmed whether Blair will face criminal charges. The #FBI is investigating the incident.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and All India Students’ Association (AISA) president Neha Bora were detained by Delhi Police on October 16 ahead of the planned ‘Lehrao Tiranga’ protest. Dipke was detained while heading to Connaught Place, while Bora was taken into custody as she began her march from Mandi House.

The protest was planned amid ongoing demonstrations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, with CJP and its supporters raising concerns over alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls. The planned march had drawn attention amid heightened security and restrictions on public gatherings in parts of the capital.

The detentions have once again brought the handling of protests in Delhi into focus, raising questions about the balance between maintaining public order and the right to peaceful assembly. Authorities have cited security concerns around demonstrations, while organisers have continued to press their demands for electoral accountability.
