Not me getting schooled by my own advice… 😂

I spend a lot of time encouraging parents to do hard things. To step outside their comfort zones. To tolerate the discomfort of doing something new.

And then I somehow agreed to join @robinnyc for a LIVE Peloton ride, having never taken a spin class in my life. What could possibly go wrong?!

I kept coming back to what I want my kids to know: You don’t have to make uncomfortable feelings go away before you try something new. You can feel nervous, unsure, completely out of your element… and still get on the bike.

And I did it! Was I the best in the class? Absolutely not. But that was never the point. I was nervous, I did it anyway, and I’m really proud of myself.

I didn’t have to stop feeling like a beginner to begin.

Earlier this week, I challenged you to try something outside your comfort zone, too. And your responses were incredible. Going to events where you don’t know anyone. Learning mahjong. Running for school board. Taking tap lessons for the first time (still waiting on my invite!).

Your stories inspired me, and I hope mine inspires someone else. So let’s keep this going.

🚨 THREE TIMES NOW! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

For the third time during this election campaign, my campaign signs have gone missing or been knocked down. This time, at the busy Jane & Finch intersection.

What's interesting is that Anthony Peruzza's signs are still standing, while mine are nowhere to be found or are lying on the ground. Is it a coincidence? Maybe. But after three incidents, I have some serious questions.

I am not making accusations about who is responsible, but I am calling for fairness, respect, and accountability throughout this election.

Every candidate deserves a fair opportunity to have their message seen and heard. Residents deserve an election focused on the issues that matter most, not disappearing campaign signs.

You can take down a sign, but you cannot erase 20 years of community service, dedication, and commitment to the people of Humber River–Black Creek.

My focus remains on the residents of Ward 7 and bringing the change our community deserves.
