Katie Zacharia is out as White House press secretary, according to people familiar with the matter, just a week after President Trump announced her appointment to the high-profile role. On Friday, Trump said he had suggested that Zacharia consider leaving the job. “I said, ‘Is this for you Katie? Because honestly, you don’t need this,’” Trump told reporters, adding that she had been treated “very rough” by the media. The president said he spoke to Zacharia earlier on Friday, just prior to his comments to reporters as he left the White House for a rally in Georgia. He said he counseled her, “Honestly, if I were you, I’d reconsider.” Zacharia’s first press briefing Tuesday was shaky, and her claims to be a lawyer have come under close examination following Trump’s announcement last week that he had chosen the conservative commentator to replace former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that even though Zacharia repeatedly referred to herself as a lawyer, and Trump called her an attorney in announcing her appointment, she didn’t pass the bar exam when she took it in California in 2011 and isn’t licensed in the U.S. Zacharia said in an interview on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” on Friday that she wasn’t asked whether she had passed the bar before she accepted the role. A White House official said Zacharia wasn’t hired by the president to work on legal matters. Read more at the link in our bio. Photo: Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call/ZUMA Press
Nobody understands the struggle of looking confident while secretly having absolutely no idea what's going on better than Puss in Boots. One minute, he's a fearless legendary swordsman who can charm anyone. The next, three tiny kittens have him questioning every decision he's ever made. In Puss in Boots: The Three Diablos (2012), Antonio Banderas returns as the voice of everyone's favorite dramatic feline, delivering some of the most hilarious and unexpectedly relatable moments in DreamWorks Animation history. Directed by Raman Hui, this animated short follows Puss as he attempts to recover a stolen ruby while dealing with three mischievous kittens who look completely innocent but are secretly walking disasters. What makes Puss such an iconic character isn't just his swordsmanship, irresistible charm, or legendary confidence. It's the fact that beneath all that dramatic energy, he's basically just a cat trying to maintain his dignity while life constantly humiliates him. The exaggerated reactions, the endless confidence, the sudden panic, and that irresistible ability to act like everything is under control when absolutely nothing is. And somehow, he manages to make every embarrassing situation look like an important part of his heroic journey. Because sometimes you want to be mysterious, fearless, and effortlessly cool, but your actual personality is just Puss in Boots having another unnecessarily dramatic moment. This is exactly why his character remains one of the funniest and most lovable personalities in animated movie history. Save this iconic Puss in Boots moment or share it with that one friend whose entire personality is basically a dramatic cat pretending to have everything figured out.
