🪖 Interesting fact: ⠀ Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) — This action film follows John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran, as he is released from prison by the government for a top-secret covert mission. He must return to the jungles of Vietnam, the last place on Earth he’d want to go, to document the possible existence of missing prisoners of war (POWs). Rambo is given strict orders not to rescue any, but when he defies these commands, he is abandoned and forced to rely on his brutal combat skills to save the POWs. ⠀ One interesting production fact is that James Cameron, known for directing films like “The Terminator” and “Aliens,” wrote a first draft of the screenplay for this film. He was concurrently writing these other major projects at the time. Cameron’s script, titled “First B*ood II: The Mission,” was described as having the same basic structure as the first film but was more v*olent. ⠀ What makes Rambo: First Blood Part II stand out is its exploration of the Vietnam War POW/MIA issue, a theme that resonated deeply with audiences. The film portrays a lone warrior’s fight against overwhelming odds, highlighting themes of abandonment and the struggle for redemption. Its central question is whether one man’s defiance can bring justice to those forgotten by their government.

It’s my birthday!!! 🩷🎀💕 My first birthday without my dad, which is something I still can’t quite believe I’m having to say. This has undoubtedly been one of the hardest years of my life, and one I never imagined I’d have to navigate at 27. But today I had the most amazing day in Switzerland with my beautiful mummy, celebrating life, laughing, loving and making memories. 🩷 If this year has taught me anything, it’s that life is unbelievably short and the only thing we really have is the present moment. Something I’m working VERY hard on because, as a Scorpio, I love nothing more than overthinking the past and fantasising about the future. 😂💕 Going into this new chapter, I’m making myself one promise: to live more in the present, love harder, dream bigger and put every ounce of my faith in God. I know my dad would be cheering me on, telling me to keep going and, most importantly, to make it BIGGER. 🩷 Thank you to every single person who has shown me so much love over these last few months and for all the beautiful birthday messages today. It never goes unnoticed, and I’m more grateful than you’ll ever know. So here’s your reminder to hug your people a little tighter, tell them you love them and chase your bloody dreams. Life is far too short not to. 🩷 Here’s to another year of living, loving, laughing and making every second count. Love you forever, Dad. I hope I’m making you proud. 🩷💕
