YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was reportedly detained by police at his residence in Sector 56, Gurugram, on October 10, 2026, hours before a planned protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The demonstration was organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over allegations concerning voter-list revisions.
Reports said police arrived at Rathee’s residence in the morning. However, the specific legal grounds for his detention had not been officially clarified in the reports available at the time. CJP supporters criticised the action, while the authorities’ explanation remained unclear.
The incident comes amid heightened security in Delhi ahead of the planned demonstration. It has renewed public discussion about freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and the balance between maintaining public order and protecting democratic rights.
The viral meme’s exact claim about 50 police personnel and the precise detention time should be treated as unverified details.
What do you think—how should authorities balance public safety with the right to peaceful protest?

Now THIS is something nobody wants to catch! 😩

Health officials are raising concerns about Shigella, a highly contagious bacterial infection that causes severe diarrhea, stomach cramps and fever and can also spread during sexual activity.

The bacteria can spread when even tiny amounts of infected fecal matter enter someone’s mouth, including through sexual contact, contaminated hands, food or water.

What’s especially concerning is that certain strains are becoming resistant to commonly used antibiotics, making severe infections harder to treat.

According to the CDC, the percentage of tested Shigella samples classified as extensively drug-resistant reached 8.5% in 2023.

Health officials recommend proper handwashing, safer sexual practices and avoiding sexual activity for at least two weeks after diarrhea ends.
