The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has ordered popular Kamba Benga musician Alex Kasau Katombi to immediately remove his Wikend music video from YouTube and other digital platforms accessible to minors. The regulator cited sexually explicit scenes, nudity, indecent exposure, and depictions of alcohol consumption, tobacco use and substance abuse, saying the content was unsuitable for general exhibition. According to the board, the video was distributed to the public without obtaining the required licence or classification under the Films and Stage Plays Act. KFCB said it was working with Google Kenya, relevant law enforcement agencies and digital platforms to enforce the directive. The regulator also urged artists to comply with the law and parents and guardians to monitor the content children consume online.
