“I dig a hole, GDP goes up. I fill it in, GDP goes up.”

French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon signalled his distrust of orthodox economics at a rally in Clermont-Ferrand on 11 October.

The leader of leftist party La France Insoumise, or France Unbowed, made the point that GDP is only a measure of economic activity – not whether that activity makes people’s lives any better.

With French politics increasingly polarised, Mélenchon and far-right leader Marine Le Pen are expected to face each other in a run-off, the latest polls suggest.

Mélenchon advocates for moving away from a free-market economic model in favour of a planned economy. He also wants to suspend the EU’s trade agreement with Israel, raise the minimum wage and increase taxes on high earners.

Lauren is speaking out on the drama surrounding Baddies USA Chapter 3, calling out Dava for allegedly starting beef with Summer and Fania unprovoked just for a storyline. Lauren questioned Dava’s loyalty, claiming she’s not a girl’s girl, and added that she never made a scene after being informed that Dava was hanging out with her opp, Cerose.

Lauren also cleared the air about where she stands with Baby Tyson, insisting there’s no beef between them and that she still has love for her. However, she revealed she unfollowed Tyson because she wasn’t texting her back.

With the Baddies USA Chapter 3 drama already brewing, it looks like there’s plenty to unpack before the new season even gets underway. What are y’all thoughts on Lauren’s comments about Dava and Tyson? 👀🔥💥

Filmed a whole leg workout. Ill put the highlights here. If you want the whole thing plus a detail on why im doing everything see the full video. (Great editing, minimal brainrot!)

The main theme of uniting it all is that there's stuff here from multiple lifting "identities" there's stuff you might call old school hardcore lifting, there's stuff you'd associate with "optimal" science kids.

In reality its all optimal at least to the best of my ability to optimize for my goals, equipment and capabilities. There's a big difference between performative optimality, the stylistic cues and design language used to symbolilize "optimal" on social media (like using machines wrong) and actually problem solving for your goals given a set of parameters. The latter sometimes looks like lifting from another clique. That's ok.

Today theres an anachronistic idea that people should just stick to "good old fashioned" big weights on basic movements and quit trying to invent new movements. But the reality is, that old school lifters were constantly inventing new optimized movements while also lifting big weights on barbells, which by the way, a lot of optimal kids should learn to do. In addition. You can do both.

For a nice blend of basics and novel solutions for optimal stimulus from neck to calves from very minimal equipment check out The Apocalyptic Warlord's Complete Guide to Physical Development.
