I cannot even begin to explain to you the feelings you feel when you are walking where Jesus walked & seeing the places where Jesus healed people, delivered people, redeemed people, & ultimately saved people 🕊️

One of my favorite passages in the Bible is John 21, where Jesus appears on the beach to his disciples after His resurrection and restores Peter. Being on that exact beach today, my eyes welled up with tears… I could only imagine Peter on the boat fishing and seeing Jesus in the distance on the shore. Peter throws off his outer garment and jumps into the water to swim to the shore that Jesus was standing on… the exact shore I got to stand on today. There is something so special about being able to stand where Jesus stood & walk where Jesus walked. Your eyes well up, your faith expands, & your love deepens.

It’s only day two and my mind constantly keeps thinking “my Jesus, like the Jesus I KNOW & the Jesus I LOVE… my Jesus was here :’)”

John 21:4, — “Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.”

John 21:7-9 — “Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.”

John 21:15 — “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

“Enough is enough.” Watch the whole episode now on @bbciplayer.

This one’s tender for me. But I’d like to share in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 🤍

8 years ago, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Over time, with a lot of support, honest conversations with my care team, and more evaluation + new information, my diagnosis changed to something different.

I’m sharing this because so much of my healing came from being seen in all my complexity. But I want to be really careful with how this lands, because my story is my story, not a roadmap.

For most people living with bipolar disorder, it’s a lifelong condition. It’s real, it’s valid, and it’s not something you can think, wish, or “heal” your way out of. And that’s not a failure. So many people with bipolar live full, beautiful, thriving lives because they’ve found treatment that works for them. If that’s you, I see you, and I’m so proud of you for every hard day you’ve shown up for yourself.

So please hear this from my whole heart: 🤍 Never stop or change your medication without talking to your provider first. Stopping suddenly can be genuinely dangerous, even when you feel good (sometimes especially when you feel good). If you have questions about your diagnosis or treatment, bring them to someone who knows your full picture.

My journey hasn’t been linear, and I’m still learning.

If you’re struggling right now, you don’t have to carry it alone. In the US, you can call or text 988 anytime. Asking for help isn’t a failure, it isn’t rock bottom, it’s the bravest thing you can do. 🤍

Swipe through for the full story, and if you feel comfortable, share what’s helped you in your mental health journey. 👇
