The new era of Jamie Beck Co. is here. Six years ago, I never could have imagined where this small business would take us. I was making art during #IsolationCreation, sharing it online, and you all began asking if you could bring a piece of it into your own homes. What started with a handful of art prints has grown into a shop filled with fine art, stationery, candles, planners, camera straps - things I’ve dreamed up to make everyday life a bit more lovely. But I’ve always had a bigger dream. Someday, I want you to be able to walk through the doors of a physical Jamie Beck Co. shop, wander through the things we’ve created, and bring my world home into yours. And to build that future, we needed a brand that reflected who we are today and where we’re going next. So, welcome to the next chapter of Jamie Beck Co. 🤍 Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting my art. I’m so excited for you to see what comes next. Design by the incredible @natasshianeary ✍️
🖤 LEAVE BLACK PEOPLE ALONE. 🖤 When I hear people say, “We are not our ancestors,” I want us to remember something important: Our ancestors were not simply victims of history. They resisted, stood their ground, fought for their freedom, and demanded respect. WE HAVE ALWAYS FOUGHT BACK. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD A VOICE. We are our ancestors’ legacy, and remembering their strength is part of understanding who we are today. 📢 OUR PURPOSE & DISCLAIMER Leave Black People Alone is a platform dedicated to raising awareness, documenting real-world events, encouraging meaningful conversations, and highlighting issues affecting Black communities. Videos shared on this page are presented for educational purposes, public awareness, news coverage, and social commentary. Our intention is NOT to bully, harass, threaten, shame, or encourage violence against anyone featured in our content. We do not encourage our followers to target, contact, threaten, or harass individuals shown in these videos. Our mission is awareness, not harassment. Accountability, not hate. Education, not intimidation. We believe these conversations matter, and we encourage everyone to engage respectfully. 🖤 Thank you for your continued support. Copenhagen has a history stretching back nearly a thousand years. Originally a small Viking fishing settlement, it developed into an important trading port during the 12th century under Bishop Absalon, who fortified the town in 1167. Its Danish name, København, means “Merchants’ Harbor,” reflecting its commercial origins. By the 15th century, Copenhagen had become Denmark’s royal capital and one of Scandinavia’s most influential cities. During the Renaissance, King Christian IV transformed Copenhagen with magnificent buildings, canals, churches, and palaces, many of which remain standing today. The city experienced devastating fires in 1728 and 1795, followed by British bombardment in 1807, but each reconstruction contributed to its distinctive architectural character. By the 19th century, Copenhagen had entered Denmark’s celebrated Golden Age, producing internationally renowned philosophers, artists, writers, and architects, including Søren Kierkegaard and Bertel Thorvaldsen. Copenhagen’s culture reflects a fascinating combination of royal tradition, Scandinavian simplicity, artistic achievement, and maritime heritage. Its colorful waterfront at Nyhavn, historic churches, Renaissance castles, and elegant squares preserve the atmosphere of an old European capital, while its modern neighborhoods reflect Denmark’s emphasis on functional design and comfortable urban living. The city is particularly associated with hygge, the Danish appreciation of warmth, friendship, and life’s everyday pleasures, often expressed through candlelit cafés, intimate gatherings, and traditional meals. Copenhagen also has a rich culinary heritage, especially its famous open-faced sandwiches, smørrebrød, alongside a thriving contemporary restaurant culture. Cycling is central to daily life, and public spaces are designed around pedestrians, bicycles, and community activities. Despite its modern reputation, Copenhagen remains deeply connected to its monarchy, Lutheran heritage, centuries-old universities, and traditional celebrations, making it a city where Scandinavian history and contemporary culture coexist.
