One year ago today, my life changed completely. I was given the opportunity to audition for The Voice, on NBC. The most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced, yet somehow the most gratifying. Having Kelly and Blake turn for me was the most incredible rush of adrenaline (even though I was already having one) and then having to formulate words while trying to comprehend them, was another rush. I had no idea I’d end up being the 3rd person to make it on a team, and had no idea the amount of love and support I was about to receive. I think that was the hardest part. Not knowing how people would receive me, or how the show would portray me. Thankfully, it was all in my favor and I’m blessed to have had so many reaffirming calls, texts, comments, and messages. Thank you to all who have followed my journey over the last 12 months and longer. They may not have been laden with hit records, but I’ve been hard at work and can’t wait to share what I am building.
