3 years ago today, Taylor Swift released the Eras Tour movie. Sam Wrench, who had previously directed concert specials for Billie Eilish and Lizzo, shot 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' over three nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles from August 3 to 5, 2023. After studio talks fell through, Swift made an unprecedented distribution deal with AMC Theatres and Cinemark, and her announcement later that month pushed several films, including 'The Exorcist: Believer,' to different release dates. The film premiered at The Grove in Los Angeles on October 11, 2023 and opened wide on October 13. It runs 2 hours and 48 minutes and covers the full Eras setlist, with Swift producing. Demand showed before opening, with AMC reporting $26 million in presales, a record for the chain, and a single-day ticket-revenue record. The first weekend brought in about $93 million domestically, the second-best October opening behind 'Joker,' and over 70 percent of that weekend's total box office. It became the highest-grossing concert film in North American history in three days, passing the entire run of 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,' and it opened at number one in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia, Germany, and the Philippines. Fans traded friendship bracelets in theater lobbies and bought collectible popcorn tubs. Critics and audiences were glowing, with a 99 percent Rotten Tomatoes score and an A+ CinemaScore. The film finished with about $267 million worldwide and landed on Disney+ on March 14, 2024. Variety observed that it rewrote the box office rules in 2023, and AMC's CEO said artists have since been calling about similar deals. #taylorswift #movies #popculture #reels
【Avengers: Doomsday - 1/6th scale Beast Collectible Figure (Deluxe Version)】 With realities colliding and the fate of the multiverse hanging in the balance, Earth’s mightiest heroes and mutantkind’s greatest champions must stand together. Answering the call to battle is Dr. Hank McCoy — the intellectual powerhouse and fierce warrior famously known as Beast. Marking his grand entrance into Marvel Studios’ upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday, Hot Toys is thrilled to announce the Deluxe Version of the 1/6th scale Beast Collectible Figure. Meticulously crafted to reflect Kelsey Grammer’s portrayal, the figure features a newly developed head sculpt featuring separate rolling eyeballs, complemented by detailed skin textures and facial hair. To push realism even further, his swept-back blue hair is implanted using premium wool material. Built to showcase his mutant stature, the figure’s newly developed specialized body stands approximately 32.5 cm tall and is layered with soft fiber hair across the torso and limbs, evoking his beastly presence. He is outfitted in a pair of dark blue pants detailed with bold yellow trims and a yellow belt emblazoned with the X-Men logo on the buckle, a nod to his classic look in the comics. An array of interchangeable hands allows collectors to pose Beast in combat stances. Taking this release to another level, the Deluxe Version exclusively includes a battle-damaged Sentinel head diorama base. Detailed with exposed mechanical cabling, scorched armor, green flame effects, and USB-powered LED light-up eyes, this set-piece sets the stage for a dramatic scene of Beast dominating mutantkind’s most feared mutant-hunting robot. Secure the Deluxe Version now and bring the mutant powerhouse to your Avengers: Doomsday collection! #Beast #AvengersDoomsday #MarvelStudios #HotToysCollectibles #DeluxeVersion
