Beyoncé Fans Were Fighting for Renaissance Tickets While a Broker Allegedly Made $833K Off One Tour Stop Blogged by: Draggy A ticket broker allegedly turned the final night of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour into an $833,323 payday by purchasing thousands of tickets through more than 1,300 accounts, according to a new federal lawsuit. The Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission filed the lawsuit on October 15, 2026, accusing California-based REPS & Company Inc. and three executives of illegally bypassing ticket purchasing restrictions. Federal officials say the company used an elaborate network of accounts and technical tools to acquire Beyoncé concert tickets in quantities far beyond what individual customers were allowed to purchase. According to the 22-page federal complaint, REPS purchased 7,624 tickets for Beyoncé’s October 1, 2023, concert at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Ticketmaster had imposed purchase limits ranging from four to eight tickets per customer. Investigators allege the broker circumvented those limits by spreading purchases across at least 1,300 accounts. The company allegedly collected approximately $833,323 in profits after reselling those tickets. That works out to roughly $109 in resale profit per ticket, although the complaint does not identify the individual prices paid by concertgoers. The Kansas City performance carried special significance for the Beyhive. According to KSHB 41 News, the concert marked the conclusion of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, and the singer used the occasion to announce her concert documentary, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.” The tour itself had already become a historic achievement. Pollstar reported that Beyoncé generated approximately $579.8 million from 56 performances, selling more than 2.77 million tickets. The production celebrated Black dance music and the cultural influence of ballroom and queer communities while establishing new commercial milestones for the superstar.
This week on @imopodcasts, Craig and I sat down with @kykelce for a conversation about the power of leading by example. Kylie shares how the women who coached her helped shape the way she sees motherhood, mentorship, and showing up for the next generation. We talk about what sports can teach young women about resilience, pursuing our passions, and embracing all the different parts of who we are as women. Sometimes, one of the most powerful things we can do is simply show the next generation that they belong. Enjoy our full conversation on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts.
A Japanese man was taken down and arrested by police inside a busy train station after he was caught recording under a Black woman’s skirt. The woman reported him on the spot. Officers moved in quickly, forced him to the ground, and held him there while several of them knelt around him to restrain him. The scene happened in public with Seibu station signs visible in the background. Accounts that shared the video say this is not the first time the man has done this. Secretly recording under a woman’s skirt is illegal in Japan, and police regularly make arrests when victims or witnesses report it right away. In this case the woman’s report led straight to the man being slammed down and taken into custody. What do you think should happen to men who keep doing this after they have already been caught before ?
