Winter plans: Hallstatt โœจ Save this ๐Ÿ‘‡ Pastel houses, a mirror-still lake and the Dachstein mountains behind it. Hallstatt is one of those places that looks unreal, and winter is a magical time to see it โ„๏ธ What to do ๐Ÿ‘‡โ€จ๐Ÿ“ธ The classic viewpoint over the village, with the colourful houses on the lakeโ€จ๐ŸŒ‰ The Skywalk, for a view over the lake and the mountainsโ€จโ›๏ธ The salt mine, one of the oldest in the worldโ€จ๐Ÿšค A walk along the lake, and a boat ride if the weather allowsโ€จ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Krippenstein, the mountain above (more snow, and the best chance of winter views)โ€จโ˜• A warm drink in the village after the day-trippers leave Good to know ๐Ÿ’ก * Go early in the morning or in the evening, because the village is much quieter before and after the tour buses * Check the cable car timetables and trail conditions before you go, because winter closures are common * Bring waterproof boots, because Hallstatt gets a lot of rain as well as snow Send this to the person youโ€™d want to go with ๐Ÿค Save this & follow @travelcroats for more from our travels ๐ŸŒ #hallstatt #austria #visitaustria #hallstattwinter #visithallstatt
