A Pakistani parliamentarian has claimed that India lost $70 billion in just two days during the India–Pakistan conflict. But what does that figure actually represent, and is it being confused with stock market losses? During the May 2025 conflict, reports cited a sharp fall in Indian stock market value amid rising tensions. However, a decline in market capitalisation is not the same as money directly lost by the government or the economy. So before accepting claims of billions lost in just 48 hours, it is worth examining the numbers, the context and the evidence. Watch the facts, not the fantasies. #india #Pakistan #OperationSindoor #missiles #missilestrike
Grub Worming Everybuggy! It’s approaching ever closer to the most terrifying holiday of the year. That’s right you guessed it: Gribbleween. In honor of this terrifying and truly horrifying and actually so scary. I’m presenting you just the facts and just the truth. I’m going to release 50,000 jumping buddies. They will swarm the streets and buildings and homes and water systems of every Bugtopian citizen. I really wish I didn’t have to do this but it’s the holidays and I’ve clearly been left. No choice but to do this. I hope you can all learn to forgive me, but at least you’ll have plenty of time to get close to your new best friends. All 5 billion of them! Ha ha oh yeah sorry did I mention I actually lied I’m releasing 5 billion of them. I love you. 28awesomebugs.org signing off :) smile #28awesomebugs #giggle #iloveyou #awesome #yay

🇺🇸 William Marshall “Bill” Beckmann died on, April 29 1990, at St. John’s Hospice in Lakewood, Colorado, following an extended illness with AIDS. He was 29 years old. Bill was born in Denver on 14 July 1960. He graduated from Platte Canyon High School in 1978, where he was active in school and community activities, particularly local melodrama theatre. An artist, Bill designed the original “Bailey Day” logo located at the Entriken Cabin in Bailey, and painted the Husky logo in the old Platte Canyon High School gymnasium. Bill attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and graduated from the University of Denver in 1982. Before his illness, he worked in Human Resources at the Life Insurance Company of Denver. Doug Lasky told @theaidsmemorial, “I met Bill when we both sang with the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus. We lived two blocks away from each other. He was incredibly kind and handsome. He was always looking for love (as we all were at that age). His specialty was cooking Chicken Veronique in his tiny apartment for a first date. One night his date didn’t show up so he called me and I got to experience the special meal (without the romantic dessert). I remember him in hospice. All that youthful joy and beauty wasting away. I spoke at his memorial service. I’m now 70 years old and I think of him often and how he touched my life.” #whatisrememberedlives
