The past 2 years have been both the absolute worst & best years of my life. My relationship of six years on & off ended, then we tried again... and finally, it all makes sense. Even when two people grow apart and are 100% not meant to be, breakups are hard and complicated. For anybody going through a hard time, I get you. Grieve, process, understand & work on the better, wiser version of you. I have found myself again. I know what I want & deserve in a partner moving forward. I’m excited for this new chapter, in so many different ways. I’m saying this because many of us don’t speak about feelings or situations affecting us, especially breakups. Being a perfectionist, it was really hard for me to accept that letting go of someone wasn’t a failure. Some people will come and go, but knowing your core values and true self is everything. I’ve learnt to trust the process and myself. It’s OKAY and admirable to be completely authentic & vulnerable. But it’s been rough and it’s a process. I’m headed on a 3 week vacation and turning off social media. I’m soooooo ready for 2019 you have NO idea. Bring on the podcasts, reading, family time, running, baking shortbread cookies and alllllll the strawberry daiquiris ☺️
