GRASSROOT FOOTBALL

I’ve been going to watch local matches played in my community recently and I’ve been so inspired my the determination of our grassroot footballers, so I decided to start going with my camera.
I’ll be telling Grassroot football stories in my next few posts. Kindly turn on my post notifications to see more. ✨

I want her childhood to be filled with wild places, scraped knees, and the freedom to explore the world without fear.

Not active shooter drills. Not lockdowns. Not learning how to survive a school shooting before she even knows how to do long division.

And I am tired of accepting this as normal.

Republican leaders in Congress have repeatedly opposed major gun safety measures, including expanded background checks and an assault weapons ban, while our children continue to grow up in a country plagued by gun violence. We cannot keep mourning, sending thoughts and prayers, and then accepting political inaction as the status quo.

Our kids deserve more than thoughts and prayers. They deserve action.

Here's something you can do TODAY:

Call your members of Congress. Tell them you expect meaningful action on gun violence prevention, including universal background checks, safe storage laws, and evidence-based policies to keep guns away from people who pose a danger. Find your representatives at house.gov and senate.gov.

Demand accountability. Ask your representatives what specific gun safety legislation they support, and where they stand on the record. Don't let them hide behind vague statements.

Share this. Have the uncomfortable conversation. Refuse to let this become another tragedy we forget about a week later.

Our children cannot vote. They cannot lobby Congress. They cannot change the laws that shape their safety.

That's our job. And we need to start acting like it.

What are we waiting for?

Presented by @Rolex. Bottle-feeding orphaned calves and dehorning adults are what come with protecting southern white rhinos. Conservationists at African Parks have since relocated more than 700 of the 2,000 rhinos to protected areas across South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. But even after the rhinos are moved, the danger doesn’t disappear, as poachers continue to target populations across the continent.
Through its partnership with the National Geographic Society and as part of its Perpetual Planet Initiative, #Rolex supports expeditions exploring and protecting remarkable places around the world, a selection of which are featured in Africa Earth’s Wild Home. #PerpetualPlanet
