HU Staff: Jamal Osborne @_j.osborne Six Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers have been suspended without pay and face possible termination after investigators uncovered an allegedly racist group chat. _____________________________________________ According to local reports, the messages included racial slurs and a competition over which officer could stop the most Black drivers. One officer reportedly wrote, “our texts sound like a clan rally.” _____________________________________________ The chat was discovered during an unrelated investigation involving CMPD officer Seth Elliott, who was charged in July with illegally accessing a government computer for non-law-enforcement purposes. Court records allege Elliott used Flock license-plate-reader technology to assist someone connected to a drug investigation, leading investigators to review text messages and phone data. ____________________________________________ Click link in bio for full story 📸: Getty Images
Do you “sneak in” strength moves during your day? (Follow for day 2!) It’s good to check in with your body once in a while (and bonus Strength!) Meet the Sink Squat, one of my clients’ FAVORITES! 🤗 - the assist takes pressure off your knees to start! Have you tried it!? Hi 👋 I’m Cindy, a 55-year-old certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and 50+ Midlife & Senior Fitness Specialist. I KNOW what a difference it makes when you move just a little more than you do today! I was traveling last week and felt out of sorts, so I found myself sneaking in more and more movement. This week I’m sharing some of my faves, starting with my #1: the Assisted Sink Squat! 🚰 ✨ How to do it: • Hold the edge of the sink for balance (don’t PULL on it, it’s just there for support) • Sit back like you’re reaching for a chair • Push through feet, and extra body weight on your heels to stand and squeeze your glutes at the top 🍑 • Start shallow! You don’t have to go deep. Work your way down a little more each week. 🌅 10 in the morning 🌃 10 at night = 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ squats a month! 💪 Do it for 30 days and you may notice stronger legs and glutes, easier time getting up from a chair or the car, steadier balance, and more confidence on the stairs. 🦋 if you need more structure or help getting started? 💬 Comment FREE for my Get Fit Over 50 workout (it’s a bit older, but it does the trick!) 💬 Comment STRONG for info on my 50+ EverStrong classes. We meet online 2x a week, or grab the workouts anytime on demand! Save this and share with a loved one who needs a sink squat buddy! 👯‍♀️ Because you deserve to feel your best at any age! 🦋🥰 🌴I think it’s still acceptable to wear white pants while in Florida? Or classic tourist? 🫣 sweater is @shop_avara pants are from @remycreations and shoes are @vionicshoes … because well, i can’t wear flip flops anymore & my feet are always sore, these help! (Not an ad 🥰 just sharing secrets!) #over50fitness #homefitness #strengthtraining #sinksquat
During his October 14 visit to the UK, President Zelenskyy sat for an interview with Piers Morgan. In light of the recent diesel deal President Trump made with Russia, as well as Trump’s statement about an energy ceasefire—which Russia immediately ignored—Zelenskyy reflected on the state of the partnership with the US.

You will lose friends, you will lose lovers. You will lose comfort, but if, in losing them, you find yourself, you have gained more than kings.
