The heat made me do it☀️

Sam Mayer spun out Jeremy Clements and Harrison Burton and then had something to say about it on the radio.

So honored to celebrate with the incredible @lotushouseshelter community last night 🪷✨

Such a special evening celebrating the strength, resilience, and stories of the extraordinary women and families who are part of this community. I’m endlessly inspired by the dedication and leadership of Lotus House and @theNWSN founder Constance Collins and Executive Director Isabella Dell’Oca. @gisele - thank you for inviting me to join the board with you and for your beautiful heart and boundless passion. I couldn’t imagine a better partner in this work.

After six years of being part of Lotus House, what I love most is how you can feel its mission in the smallest moments: a warm welcome, a meal shared, someone taking the time to listen.

A village isn’t just something we’re part of. It’s something we build together. 💛

So grateful to everyone who makes this community so special. Happy Halloween weekend! 🎃

This is Saraya. She has always doted on her baby brother Alexander, but when she started repeatedly licking and nudging the six-month-old and becoming distressed, her family knew something was off. Later, Alexander began crying inconsolably, and while fussiness isn’t unusual for babies, this combined with Saraya’s behavior prompted the family to seek help immediately. After being rushed to the hospital, Alexander was found to have a dangerously high heart rate at 280 beats per minute and was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. With treatment he has been able to maintain a safe heart rate since. “She’s not a trained assistance dog in any way,” Saraya’s human said. “But she was trying to tell us that Alexander needed help. I will be forever grateful to her.” 15/10 (credit @countygazette)
