Some places do more than take you away from your routine; they bring you closer to yourself. 🤍 Chamonix gave me more than breathtaking views, and @vieretreats gave me more than an experience. It gave me beautiful connections, meaningful moments, a sense of peace, and memories I’ll carry with me long after leaving. Grateful for the place, the people, the energy, and everything this experience has awakened in me

Scrolling through Instagram during the Covid lockdown, Christine Dawood saw something that made her do a double take. She passed her phone to her husband Shahzada – not out of genuine interest, she says, but in a spirit of astonishment. He was captivated. "He said, 'Find out if it's real,' and I was like, 'This is definitely fake.' But he said, 'No, find out,' so I asked our travel agent. And then they came back to us and said, 'Yeah, it's possible.' And I'm like, 'Really?'" That fateful day scrolling was a turning point of monumental proportions for Dawood. The Instagram reel that she had assumed was computer-generated was in fact genuine footage of the Titan, a submersible that had been constructed to dive to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, taking tourists to the wreck of the Titanic. Everyone knows how the story ends. On June 18, 2023, the Titan imploded off the Titanic's bow, instantly killing all five on board. Shahzada Dawood was one of them. Their 19-year-old son, Suleman, was at his side. In her memoir, Christine draws from her journal and transcripts of what unfolded after the Titan went missing. She says she recorded everything to report back to relatives on the ground. The result is a slow-burn horror story. Leather jackets. I guarantee you’re overthinking them.
Damn gotcha questions and fake issues, anything to avoid the issues voters actually care about. It's almost like they want to tank their own elections.
